L’Oreal Pure Clay Mask: Purify and Mattify
Recently I made a post on Instagram about a few new masks I picked up to try and review.
The first is one of L’Oreal’s Pure-Clay Masks. There are three, Exfoliating and Refining, Detox and Brighten, and Purify and Mattify, which is what I will be reviewing.

Product claim: Fresh, indulgent formula provides a soothing and refreshing spa-like experience, while powerful pure clays penetrate deep into pores to remove impurities. Purify & Mattify Pure-Clay Mask addresses your shiny and oily skin to reveal clarified, mattified, and refreshed complexion. Immediately skin appears purified and healthier. Skin looks less shiny and excess oil is reduced. Pores seem tightened and less visible, without over-drying. Use After Use. Skin looks re-energized and refreshed. Skin complexion appears fresher. Skin is visibly healthier and more beautiful.
I have to say, I 100% agree with all of these. As someone who deals with excessively oily skin, I need to consistently unclog my pores and reduce oil production without stripping every ounce from my skin. This does all of that and more.
When first applied, it’s creamy and smooth, and smells amazing! The eucalyptus creates a scent that does give a bit of a spa vibe. Just put on some relaxing music, turn down the lights and let the mask work its magic. It feels great and when you rinse it off, you will see an immediate improvement. Skin is mattified and visibly clearer, the appearance of pores is minimized, and your skin feels like it can breathe. And bonus, your face will still smell lovely!
Overall, I definitely recommend this mask. It does what is says it’s going to do, and it even surpassed my expectations. The price is super reasonable, especially for the amount of product you get. I definitely plan on trying the other two and am excited to see the results I get from them. I have pretty high hopes based on the Purify and Mattify so I’m going to find out if they’ll exceed my expectations as well.
