I went to Walmart and ventured into the cosmetics section, looking for Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge pigment mix in drops. For some reason, I still can’t find those, but I did come across something I hadn’t seen before. Sheer Envy Instant Eye Fix under eye treatment.
The first thing I noticed was that it had a peachy tone, which counteracts under eye circles. This type of product is hard to find in the drugstore. There is Pixi, but it’s still twice as much as Hard Candy’s. And Hard Candy’s is a lot creamier and easy to blend.
The product claims: An eye treatment that instantly brightens, de-puffs and smooths fine lines. This skincare benefit packed formula comes with a luxurious metal applicator that cools and immediately soothes the delicate under eye area. It also primes and moisturizes. All with 5X treatment power. Can also be used under the brow bone for luminosity.
Skincare benefits is something that stuck out to me. Yes, they have face primers, but this is definitely something different for the brand. It would be fantastic if they were to start venturing into skincare. They could really do well with that.
Everything about this product stood out to me and I knew I had to try it.
I am very happy to say that all of the claims are true. I find it hides my under eye circles really well, and it does brighten, smooth, and de-puff. I also noticed my foundation and concealer didn’t get cakey or crease in that area, so it does indeed moisturize as well. Lastly, it does prime the under-eye area and blends like a dream.
I don’t have any cons for this product. There is only one small thing, which is when I squeeze the product out, it doesn’t always stay on the metal applicator. It tends to go back in and I have to squeeze and apply at the same time. Now this is VERY minor, and it’s not a complaint or a con of this product. It’s an easy fix, it’s just something I thought I should mention.
All that said, I initially thought this could be a good dupe for Benefit’s Erase Paste, but it’s better in my opinion. I have been using Benefit’s and am just about out, so I picked this up and thought I would give it a try to see how it performed in comparison. Now, I still love Erase Paste, and Benefit as a brand. But with Hard Candy’s, you get the same type of peachy colored concealer, but with added skincare benefits, and a smoother application and finish.
Not to mention the price difference. Benefit costs $26.00 USD and Hard Candy’s costs $6.00 USD. But whether you’re on a budget or not, this is definitely something worth trying.
Hard Candy is one of my favorite brands, and they’ve always had great products, but lately they’ve been consistently knocking it out of the park and truly rivaling the prestige brands that cost twice as much, if not more. If you haven’t tried their products yet, I suggest you head over to Walmart and check them out. You won’t be disappointed.
